Guaranteed money is two different numbers. The large figure is fully guaranteed at signing — locked in the day the pen moves. The smaller line beneath it is total guarantees, which includes money that vests later on roster dates. Total is always the larger of the two. Public trackers conflate these constantly; we keep them separate.
A dash means not publicly disclosed — not zero. Most NBA guarantee cells are empty because the sources that carry that detail block automated access. We leave those blank rather than infer them. Exactly two cells show a real $0, and they mean different things: Ty Simpson's at-signing guarantee is $0 because nothing is in force until he signs, while Boye Mafe genuinely took no signing bonus — his guarantee arrives as a $19M Year-1 roster bonus instead.
Rows tagged rookie scale are chart-derived. NBA first-round rookie contracts are formulaic, and those totals come from the published 2026-27 rookie scale chart at the standard 120 percent of scale, cross-checked against the draft-pick signings tracker — not from individually reported contracts. The structure is the same for all of them: first two years guaranteed, team options on years three and four. No guaranteed-dollar figure is published for any of them, which is why that column is empty across the group. Coverage is picks 1-13 and 15; pick 14 and picks 16-30 are not yet listed.
Base, not max. Where a deal was headlined at its incentive-inclusive ceiling, the base is the headline number and the ceiling appears beneath it as “max”. Christian Watson's deal is $92M base, not the $110.5M that led most coverage.
