Mikel Brown Jr. is the oversized lead-PG archetype of the 2026 class. The
6-foot-5 Louisville sophomore averaged 14.2 points, 7.9 assists, and 4.4 rebounds while
shooting 36% from three under Pat Kelsey's rebuild. Brown's combination of size, passing
vision, and pick-and-roll feel reads as a Tyrese Haliburton-style facilitator with slightly
less explosive scoring upside. The case for him: high-floor lottery PG who can run an offense
on Day One. The case against: he has not yet developed elite scoring against pressure
defense, and his three-point shooting still has variance.
