AJ Dybantsa

SF #1 · BYU · 6-9 · Age 19.1
From: Brockton, MA
R1 #1

AJ Dybantsa is the consensus #1 overall target on most 2026 NBA Draft boards.
As a BYU freshman he averaged 25.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists across 35 games.
ESPN's Jonathan Givony has him atop the board, noting he proved capable of carrying a
significant offensive workload with real growth as a decision-maker. 6-9 wing with a
roughly 7-0 wingspan — scouts most commonly project him as a star wing scorer with the
capacity to drive winning on both ends. Areas to develop: ballhandling against pressure,
perimeter shot consistency, and individual defense. Comparisons range from Paul George to
Jayson Tatum at the high end. Washington won the May 10 lottery and is the heavy favorite to take him No. 1 overall on June 23.
